A tale of hard work, passion and success; so might you summarise the history of Francesco Spadi’s family. He is the owner of the Caseificio Follonica, a dairy which today employs 15 people and processes around 950,000 litres of sheep’s milk a year. A story which started on the paths of transhumance and which today continues on the Follonica sea shore, where the company is run by Federica Spadi, the founder’s daughter, and Luca Tanganelli. The small business of the past has become a modern establishment, one equipped with the most innovative technologies but for whom craftsmanship and the product’s characteristics still remain central.
